Book Review with Absolique Trichologist, Radical Metabolism by Ann Louise Gittleman
Absolique Trichologist, “The title of this book not reflective of what drew me to the writer and her subject of bile. ‘Bile is beautiful’ and under rated in the whole picture of health is the message the author is delivering. I first heard Ann Louise interviewed in an online summit and was gripped by her every word explaining the importance of bile to overall health, metabolism, digestion, absorption, detoxifying, weight loss and hormones. She explains bile is the missing link in many health conditions and is just as important as our immune system.”
The benefits of healthy bile go a long way for overall health and there are simple ways to help your body produce good clean bile. The author states, ‘there is no reason to remove the gallbladder if you can clean up the bile’. In the scenario there may be gallstones, cleaning up your bile can help to address symptoms and possibly prevent surgery.
Book Review with Absolique Trichologist, Radical Metabolism by Ann Louise Gittleman:
- Forgotten flavours and fat busting beverages to supercharge metabolism
- Greater energy, balanced mood, healthier skin, protection against autoimmunity and gallbladder issues
- Four-day radical cleanse or maintenance plan to teach you the foods to eat for results
The biggest take from this book was to bring back the bitters, remember Swedish bitters, they are not recommended these days for the laxative effect, but bring back the bitter foods to help produce the bile. The bitter foods are also great fibre and include alfalfa, asparagus, artichokes, lemon and lemon rind, mustard greens, red leaf lettuce and lettuce. Herbs include chamomile, cinnamon, fennel, milk thistle and sorrel. Some others are seaweed, aloe vera and coffee.
Explained in detail is the right type of fats the importance of what to avoid and what to include. Good fats to use are seeds and cold pressed seed oils, with the number one here hempseed, hemp hearts and hemp seed oil that is trusted. Other good ones are raw sunflower seeds and high linoleic sunflower oil, sesame seeds and sesame oil, flaxseeds and high lignan flaxseed oil, chia seed, pumpkin seed and pumpkin seed oil, black cumin seeds and the oil , raw nuts, nut oils and butters, avocados and avocado oil, coconut oils and products MCT oil which is now also popular.
The easy to read and reference book is loaded with information that I find myself referring to as it gives you all you need to include and avoid as well as some great recipes and detox plans. Take what you need form the book as you can go in and do a good cleanse or simply include the good bitters and good oils into your daily lifestyle for the health benefits. As a simple place to start, add lemon juice to your morning regime, include lemon rind in your dressings and marinades and get into the apple cider vinegar as a combined pre-digestive and bile assistant, drink watered down, add to marinades, dressings, or sprinkle on your food. Simple steps will help get your bile flowing and they also help with our stomach HCL (hydrochloric acid) required for digestion. For me, this book is a keeper http://radicalmetabolism.com/
